Matthew 6:
31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Lately, this message weights my heart telling me to deny myself and seek the kingdom with all my heart. So I will like you to join me on this journey of finding heaven’s kingdom within all of us. A lot of times in our daily struggles, worries of this world distract us from being one with the holy one. The reason we must die in wanting anything from this world, which are fleeting Idols, here today and gone tomorrow. So the big house, fancy cars, or clothing is just a waste of time and resources, which we can spend spreading the gospel and the kingdom of heaven to every neighbor we pass by. The kingdom of heaven is a joy and freedom that no one can take away from us no matter the place or situation, it could be a dead-end job, in your home, or incarceration. Having that close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit, there is no hardship you can’t overcome, you have a best friend and a therapist within you who if you ask with a contrite heart he will answer with the right answer all the time. That is far greater than any treasure on earth, no treasure can soothe the soul, mind, and body as Jesus can.
For example, I am 37 years old, and I have been working for myself by the grace of God for over 10 years although I pay all half of the bills, my wife still worries about our future finances. But knowing what Jesus did and keep on doing I put all my full trust in him. That he will present us with all opportunities to prosper and keep my business of marketing a float. Long as we remember to put Him first in our thoughts and our hearts. Not saying my life is perfect, but being content with what he provides makes it perfect for me at least lol. But I wish everyone in the world can experience this freedom, to have a heavenly boss that supports you and uplifts you while the fleeting world tries to tear you down.
Sometimes it’s fear that holds us back from following our dreams or pursuing the kingdom, not taking that leap of trust and determination is the key to success. I give a fair warning as well, righteousness is another key to a healthy prospering. The enemy is constantly clawing at consciousness when we are awake or asleep, we have to be very vigilant in resisting everything evil. Even if it is plotting, scheming, slandering, stealing, backbiting, falsehood, seeking attention, seeking glory for yourself, self-righteousness, lust, etc. as soon you fall for any of these temptations your world will fall apart, and the kingdom will be shut to you. Not forever but till you repent fully, so be on guard as you see how many churches and people are falling because of these things. I pray my testimony becomes a guide to overcome the worries of the world, I love you my brothers and sisters, and hope we all meet together in the Lord’s Kingdom.
