Throughout the Bible, God has been giving us clear instructions for the end times through many prophets as we are hitting the climax of our story, We are seeing many prophecies coming to life in front of our very eyes. Isaiah explains the covid-19 as a pestilence that will have many baffles at the site of it. Next, he briefly spoke of a famine, but if we reach back to previous prophet Amos 8, it says “A Vision of Ripe Fruit
8 Then the Sovereign Lord showed me another vision. In it I saw a basket filled with ripe fruit. 2 “What do you see, Amos?” he asked. I replied, “A basket full of ripe fruit.” Then the Lord said, “Like this fruit, Israel is ripe for punishment! I will not delay their punishment again. 3 In that day the singing in the temple will turn to wail. Dead bodies will be scattered everywhere. They will be carried out of the city in silence. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”
4 Listen to this, you who rob the poor and trample down the needy!
5 You can’t wait for the Sabbath day to be over and the religious festivals to end so you can get back to cheating the helpless. You measure out grain with dishonest measures and cheat the buyer with dishonest scales.[a]
6 And you mix the grain you sell with chaff swept from the floor. Then you enslave poor people for one piece of silver or a pair of sandals.
7 Now the Lord has sworn this oath by his own name, the Pride of Israel[b]: “I will never forget the wicked things you have done!
8 The earth will tremble for your deeds, and everyone will mourn. The ground will rise like the Nile River at flood time; it will heave up, then sink again.
9 “In that day,” says the Sovereign Lord, “I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth while it is still day.
10 I will turn your celebrations into times of mourning and your singing into weeping. You will wear funeral clothes and shave your heads to show your sorrow as if your only son had died. How very bitter that day will be!
11 “The time is surely coming,” says the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine on the land not a famine of bread or water but of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from border to border[c] searching for the word of the Lord, but they will not find it.
13 Beautiful girls and strong young men will grow faint on that day, thirsting for the Lord’s word.
14 And those who swear by the shameful idols of Samaria, who take oaths in the name of the god of Dan(False Gods)
and make vows in the name of the god of Beersheba[d]—they will all fall down, never to rise again.”
Reading this passage you will realize by this time the word of god will be burn and banned with nowhere to be found from nation to nation and we Christians will be persecuted once again.
Isaiah 61 New Living Translation (NLT)
Good News for the Oppressed
61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed.[a]
2 He has sent me to tell those who mourn
that the time of the Lord’s favor has come,[b]
and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.
3 To all who mourn in Israel,[c]
he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins,
repairing cities destroyed long ago.
They will revive them,
though they have been deserted for many generations.
5 Foreigners will be your servants.
They will feed your flocks
and plow your fields
and tend your vineyards.
6 You will be called priests of the Lord,
ministers of our God.
You will feed on the treasures of the nations
and boast in their riches.
7 Instead of shame and dishonor,
you will enjoy a double share of honor.
You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice.
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Their descendants will be recognized
and honored among the nations.
Everyone will realize that they are a people
the Lord has blessed.”
10 I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!
For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding
or a bride with her jewels.
11 The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world.
Everyone will praise him!
His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring,
with plants springing up everywhere.
