What is prayer? It’s talking to God you alone, asking Him for strength, guidance, healing, and more. The Psalmist David said, “As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me”. “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice”. Psalm 55:16-17.
One writer pen; “Prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s storehouse”. Is God willing to answer every prayer, and is His ears open to listen, to our petitions? Yes, If we obey His voice. The scripture said, “And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering;” ” But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respected”. Read Genesis chapter 4:1-7. Disobedience to God and His word result in punishment. The Bible says, “Woe is to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain,” Jude 11. This verse points out three rebellious men who went against God’s word; Cain, Gen 4, Balaam, Numbers chapter 22 to 25, and “Core or Korah” Numbers chapter 16, 2 Peter 2:15.
God rejects Saul as king because he disobeys the word of the Lord. Read 1Samual chapter 15, verse 22 say, “Then Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in the burnt offering, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,” God will answer our prayer when we obey His word. The scripture said, “He who turns away his ear from hearing the law; even his prayer shall be abomination”. Proverbs 28:9, and 15:8. Jesus said, “But why do you call Me Lord, Lord,’ and do not the things which I say? Read Luke 6:46 to 49.
